Pixar in a box!
For my 3D animators, Khan Academy now offers details about how Pixar creates special effects, like water and smoke action scenes, using Finding Dorie as a case study. Check it out here. I've worked my way through several videos, and it's pretty cool and allows you to use their rendering simulator to create your own effects. And, it's free!
