3D printing for social good!

I have a friend who is a wildlife rehabber and I can't think of a better way to use 3D printing to help our wild friends by designing prosthetic shells. Take a look here at 2 videos involving tortoises, one for a shell damaged by fire, and one for a shell damaged by poor human care. We'll be on the look out the next time we find a box turtle with a damaged shell, and in the meantime, take a look at this "shell" design prototype I found on Thingiverse ;)
