Annoying as commercials can be, you know a movement has arrived when it starts seeping into big brand advertising! Like this Verizon ad about girls and tech and cool profiles of women leaders in science. Nice to see that Verizon has joined Qualcomm (major backer of the Wireless EdTech program) in initiatives to support tech in education. Partnering with select schools through Verizon Innovative Learning Schools (VILS) grants, their goal is to support teacher professional development along with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
Pretty brilliant stuff ;)
After coming home from SEP, I tried to download my app from app inventor onto my iPhone. Unfortunately, after some research, I found that app inventor apps are for android only. Is this truly the case? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi there Ellie! Thanks again for all your work during Session 1 and for presenting your project to our visitors on Thursday.
DeleteI did some research, and as it turns out, apk files are Android compatible and it looks like you'll need some sort of Android SDK for mac conversion app to load an apk onto an iPhone. I'd suggest working with your folks to research which free version to download (google Android SDK for mac). Also, consider joining and posting to the App Inventor user forums: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mitappinventortest
Please keep me posted to let me know how it turns out.
Thank you.
