In case you hadn't heard of the Disney "Merida" animation controversy, catch up about it here. And feel free to use this change.org petition to speak up to Disney about their initial cave to re-draw Merida's character to make her more "princess-like", as in conforming to a male dominated version of female beauty. To a teen-aged character, no less. To their credit, Disney retracted, fairly quickly, and released this pretty cool film short about a real teen-aged girl. Animation absolutely can be used to change the world ;)
