Raising the roof

Each session I teach reminds me how important bravery and long leashes are! That kids come to us trusting we'll give them the space and regard to try new things. That we'll make our own mistakes and learn right along with them. That there is no failure except in not trying and not asking questions. It's my learners' willingness to take risks and stick to it that blows me away each time. And the kids I met at the first Saturday Enrichment series this year were no exception. Check out this nice overview of Caroline Paul's new book, "The Gutsy Girl", that by no means is limited to just helping girls "Dream Big!".
