Making light dance!

Thanks to the folks at Carnegie Mellon, home of Alice animation, for posting this nice overview from Disney about how animation rendering works. Check it out! Easy to see why a commercial movie quality 10 second animation sequence can take up to 4 hours to render, and why teaching platforms like Alice keep their designs primitive. Quick feedback to test programming strategies "on the fly" is the best way to learn and the Alice playback is fantastic for that.
