3D printing in action!
Take a look at this Stratasys sponsored presentation that highlights the Savannah College of Design 3D design and printing projects, starting with 30 minutes regarding 2 student start up businesses, giving great detail about the success and challenges each experienced. The assertion that in 2 years, 3D printers will be "must have" equipment in schools/homes I think underestimates the trajectory. It only took smartphones 18 months to eclipse the same market share it took laptops 10 years (yes, 10 years) to grab.
