An "odds and ends" post this week ...

Microsoft bought Minecraft! Wow; a nice boost for a small indie development shop (Mojang, selling price 2.5 B), but what will this do for the community? I've always thought Microsoft's own version, Kodu, seemed stalled, so it will be interesting to see how/if they integrate the 2 platforms?

If you have a Google account, consider joining Google + to follow some pretty cool learning communities, like "Creative Computing Online". It's a moderated, invite only site where folks who use MIT Media platforms (like Scratch), post projects and "how to" tips. Check out this Scratch 2.0 studio link for building simple platform jump games, several variations.
