Wow - very impressed so far with Sculptris! Very easy download and much more user friendly than other editing tools I've worked in (Photoshop, GIMP). And within 10 minutes of just clicking around, not really knowing what I was doing, I created this:

This coming winter, I'll be teaching 3D programming again using Microsoft's Kodu, this time, introducing advanced topics (nested conditional logic, levels, and exports to Xbox), as well, adding Sculptris for 3D sprite design. While you can't upload any custom sprites into Kodu, you can export 3D files you create in Sculptris to other platforms; I'm exploring other freeware animation platforms to check out the options. I've read you can save Sculptris files in a format that makes them 3D printer compatible! So, stay tuned and fingers crossed I can get access to a 3D printer at UVa to demo and offer this bonus activity for the upcoming Saturday Enrichment Series.
