Consider "liking" code.org, if you haven't already, on Facebook! This way, you'll see their weekly Student of the Week (SOTW) highlight, describing a student programming project. Check out the project of this past week, highlighted on code.org, as well, NPR. 4 Snaps is a pretty cool looking app, and I like the way the project came about from things familiar and fun. And, totally buildable using App Inventor.

Also, while putting the finishing touches on my upcoming summer SEP app building class, I discovered that Pluralsight, a great developer course library that I use for my own training at my programming job, now features an App Inventor course. I found this free excerpt on Youtube and found the 7 minute snippet very informative. And just so you know, they offer a free trial, 10 days or 200 course hours, whichever comes first, so well worth signing up for it just to take the entire App Inventor course (they also offer a Scratch course, too). You know you've made it when Pluralsight offers a course about it ;)

And finally, a nice shout out to Scratch and MIT Media lab in this Sunday New York Times article!
