Auto Awesome is, well, pretty awesome!

While getting acquainted with App Inventor features, which does allow you to add gif files to projects, I spent some time playing with "Auto Awesome" in Google +. And, in no time, literally seconds, Google + made a gif file for me:

You might recognize this little monkey and the background as Alice characters ;) What I did, was add monkey from the animals folder, and since this character is a "power" character (comes with custom animation), I dragged over a couple of the custom animations, hit "play", and then "take a picture" at regular intervals until I had 15 sequential pictures (Alice will create a jpg file for you to save to your local computer). Then, I moved these 15 pictures to Google + by uploading in the Photos section so they were all in the same album. And, seriously, within a minute, at the end of my picture list in the album, Google + added the gif file.

Cool way to show kids different strategies to animate and you could use this Google + process and create the same effect in Scratch (looping next costume indefinitely) to demonstrate.
