Now that you've gotten a taste of custom animation, you can build further on them to create your own methods by character, demonstrated in this video. This way, through one "drag and drop", you can have a character perform a set of movements. How is this helpful? Well, creating animation shortcuts like this keeps you from having to program each and every moment one by one, and it makes sure that you can repeat this custom action package over and over with exactly the same characteristics. For example, you might want to have your "Jen" character behave the same way every time she sees a dog. So, say your story has 4 dogs in it. You programmed it one time using your custom method, calling it "JenSeesDog", which is made up of 2 different animation movements ("hello" and "happy"). Now, instead of having to drag 2 animations 4 times over to your scene editor, you only have to drag 1 animation 4 times without having to think about it.
