While adding objects (characters) to your animation projects, did you notice that in the "details" section on the bottom left side bar, some characters have extra animation capabilities beyond the usual "move", "turn", "roll", "resize" options? There are 31 Alice objects that come pre-programmed with custom animation methods, what I'd consider "power" characters. For example, if you select object = "Huskie" from the "Animal" folder, you'll see 13 custom animation options such as "wag tail" and "scratch ear". Other "power" characters include "Lion", "Monkey", "Penguin", "Snake" from the "Animal" folder, "Waterfall" from the "Nature " folder, and many of the fish and "Seaweed" in the "Ocean" folder.
You can also create and save your own pre-programmed custom animation for your characters by clicking on the "create new method" button in this detail sidebar. Next week, I'll step you through how to do this and how to use ("call") these animation shortcuts to program an animation like making your character jump over other objects at certain times and places in your scene.
